Nguyen Thi Hien was a good student of Hoang Ha primary school (Hoang Hoa – Thanh Hoa). But she also has a very difficult situation and desperately needs to be helped.

Born in 2002, a fourth grade pupil, but Hien looks older than the children at the same age.

Hien’s family circumstance is very special. Her parents were separated. Now Hien, her mother, her brothers and sister has to live with grandmother (village 2 Hoang Ha commune – Hoang Hoa district – Thanh Hoa province). Her mother – Mrs Le Thi Lieu was a peasant, but now because of  sickness she is no longer able to work. Her brother, Nguyen Van Dong is a demobilized soldiers, and now is seeking job. Their income currently only depends on few arces of rice field and the help of the maternal relatives.

Meeting Hien, we were very impressed with the bright eyes and the look likes a girl at 10 year olds. Hien said every day after school, she had to catch crab and snail to support her family’s meals. Mum is too weak to work, Dad doesn’t care about them so their life is so hard. Because she loves her mother,so she had intended to drop out of school many times to help mother but her teacher, mother and relatives encouraged her to come back to class. And now she wants to study hard to become a doctor to treat poor people.

Nguyen Thi Hien family really needs the help of donors. We hope loving arms will soon come to Hien’s family, help her continue to go to school and make her dream come true.
