Miserable situation of Đặng Tiến Thành’s family (2001)
In front of me is a boy in grade 5,who has a strong minded and serious looking. His name is Đặng Tiến Thành (He was born in 2011),a student of class5A,Ngọc Đỉnh primary school , Hoằng Hà county,Hoằng Hoá district , Thanh Hoa. He has a miserable family : his father (Đặng Văn Xóm) died, left his mother 4 children. Thành is the youngest child, the two oldest siblings already got married. His mom (Mrs Trương Thị Nga) has high blood pressure , she’s been sick for years , and now can not work anymore.
His older sister, Đặng Kim Chung, had to quit school when she was in grade 8 to help her mom with looking after the farm which is their main income. Their neighbors feel sorry for the family but only can help sometimes with clothes. They also help by giving them food to pass the difficult days .
Thành studies very well, but being in that bad situation, he proably will have to quit school like his sister did, because his mom can not afford school fees.
Thành really needs help from sponsors so that he can continue his studying, in order to become a contributing member of the society .
