Nguyen Thi Luong (born in 2000)
Visiting class 5A, Ngoc Dinh Primary school (Hoang Ha commune – Hoang Hoa – Thanh Hoa), I was impressed by a little girl sitting in the front table, who has talking eyes, the clothes look fit but if you look at closely you will find that they must be “transfered” by someone because it is baggy and look like style of adult. She is Nguyen Thi Luong, lives on the village 5, Hoang Ha commune (Hoang Hoa – Thanh Hoa).
Having a chance to meet her, we were quite sympathetic by the way her talking, frank and smart. Luong said: “My family has six children, I am the fourth in the family. My mom has been sick for 4 years and no longer be able to work. Expenditure for six sisters and my mother’s medicine only live on builder wage of my father and a few acres of rice field. Life is so hard that my brothers and my sisters have to drop out of school since fifth grade to assist parents and worked in field for some daily meals. I stare still have two younger siblings who are attending primary school and kindergarten”.
Her teacher said that Luong was a good student, dutiful and hardworking. Although having to help parents at home after school, she still achieved excellent results. She has a dream of being a doctor so that she can treat poor people like her mom.
Might a student who has the ability and good behaviour have to drop out as her brothers and sisters in that situation?
