Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh – a blind girl from birth needs your help
Vietnamese have a saying “ People are rich because of eyes, poor because of hands”. However, Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh (born in 2009) has been blinded since she was not born. She was blind from birth.
Her father, Mr. Nguyen Van Dung told us that Binh was born when her mother was just pregnant at 8th month. As she was born prematurely, she was blind. Her parents brought her many places to treat her until their economic ability was exhausted but she could not recover. Their income depends on some areas of fields and her father’s building worker wage. When he is not employed, all family fall into difficulties. Her mother only farms on fields so they don’t have any extra income.
Because Binh’s parents has used all money they have to treat disease for her, so they nearly exhausted of finance. Presently, her family is one of poor families in commune. Her neighbours are very kind because they support her family from clothes and some food. However, her family has 4 people (Binh has a brother born in 1996 and he is attending school at present), all members depends on the above incomes. In rural areas, it is a huge difficulty.
Binh’s parents have only wish that Binh she can see the light but with them that just seems likes a miracle.
Binh and her family really need the support of donors to treat her eyes and she can go to school as many children at the same age.
