I. Financial Adoption Program
1. School fee was paid to 79 foster children (13 in Duc Thuong, 13 in Dong Thap, 2 in Song Phuong, 25 in Trung Chau and 26 in Co Loa). This is full scholarship awarded for every cost in school that FC has to pay.
2. Tet presents which were decided with cooperation with families included food, clothes, study materials, extra lessons.
3. Extra supports were sent to FC whose FP donated more than standard support. The extra support is always delivered under the principle: meet the demand of FC or FC’s family. That is why delivering extra support takes a lot of time and effort of Donxa’s volunteers but the result always meet the demand of supported family.
4. FP group visits were organized for FP to FC’s family whenever FP wanted. Those trips are to tighten relationship between sponsor (FP) and family in Vietnam (FC’s family).
II. Co Loa Relief house
50% lunch cost for students and salary for 2 teachers was kept on paying by DONXA during school-year. At this moment, when inflation is growing up very fast, DONXA is considering raising these supports.
III. Library Project
Donxa started its Library Project and delivered 3 modern libraries in Soc Son (Dong Anh, Hanoi), Trung Chau (Dan Phuong, Hanoi) and Tho An (Dan Phuong, Hanoi).
IV. Operation Program
1. In March, 2010 in co-operation with Institute of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Science, DONXA paid for cost for checking disabled children in Hoa Binh and cost for operate 4 handicapped childen. The result of surgery was 100 % successful. The children were also supported (in need) with rehabilitation equipments to make sure that their practicing exercises at home were supported and resulted to expected purpose.
2. In November, 2010, DONXA supported the Operation for Disabled Children Project in Son La. The checking is conducted in 5 district: Son La city, Thuan Chau Commune, Yen Chau Commune, Muong La Commune, Moc Chau Commune .Disabled children came to the checking are supported 50.000/child for transportation (most of children come from villages far away from the main town ). After checking, children who can be operated will be sent to Hanoi and have operation and hospitalization for free with Donxa’s support.
V. Purified Drinking Water
-Donxa built purified water system in Duc Thuong Primary School, Tho An Secondary school, Trung Chau Primary school and secondary school which help to provide clean water for students and teachers in those schools.
-Besides, Donxa also provide purified water for poor people in Tho An commune with 4 bottles of water every month. In 2011, Donxa has a
plan to provide clean drinking water for poor family in the list of “Financial Adoption Program” in Dong Thap and other communes.
VI. Cow Breeding Project
-Starting from 2003, Laisin Cow Breeding Project has helped many households in in some poor communes in Hanoi. They had more chance to raise their income and improve their poor life, with the support of one female cow.
-Up till now, there are 48 households in total that receive Donxa’s cows. LaiSind Cow Breeding Project of DONXA is very meaningful and effective. It creases the good conditions for region to improve its economy and society.
VII. Fundraising 2010
Donxa organized fundraising activities with the help of many Vietnamese Volunteers and attended Charity Bazaars. All income was used to support Disabled Children.
